The MSUAA-North America Chapter is a non-stock, non-profit, non-partisan, non-political and non-sectarian organization, duly recognized as an exempt organization.

The purposes of the Chapter are:

1. To foster fellowship and cooperation among the alumni with utmost unity and collaboration in planning, promoting, developing, and coordinating the implementation of MSU Alumni-oriented projects and programs.

2. To offer assistance to aspiring students of Mindanao State University by providing scholarships.

3. To recognize alumni for both their individual and collective accomplishments and services.

4. To dovetail its activities by sharing its resources and ideas and participating in various concerted pursuits that build better camaraderie with other MSUAA chapters.

5. To promote awareness and presentation of the Filipino cultural heritage in North America region.
